A year of Opportunity

its first chapter is New Year's Day

I’ve been thinking.

What if I woke up each morning this year and remembered that today is an opportunity? What if I remembered that on the good days and the bad ones? What if, somehow, I could count each and every moment of this life that He has given me as a chance to make a difference?

It wouldn’t make life easier. But perhaps it would remind me that no matter what happens between this January and the next one, to face each new day as an opportunity to say “yes” to His plan, to say “yes” to the opportunity to let Him use my life to create beauty in this corner of the world.

Beauty from brokenness. Beauty from simplicity. Beauty that only He can create.

Happy New Year, friends! May we all embrace this new 2013 as a year of Opportunity. I can’t wait to see what God does with this year, and with each one of us. It’s going to be beautiful.

P.S. The YLCF Team is seizing the opportunity of the new year to do some updates, turning a new page if you will.  The site will be unavailable for a few days next week as we work on it.  So if you show up and can’t find us, don’t worry — it’s only temporary!  Stay tuned on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
